What God has shown me: For the past few months, I've been checking the tree periodically for blossoms in anticipation of enjoying its sweet fruit. It has taken months, but finally, a few weeks ago, tiny leaves began to appear on the stems, then flowers.(some of the most beautiful flowers that I've ever seen!)
As much as I want the fruit to grow already so my mom and I can enjoy the fruits of our labor (literally), the tree is not growing according to my timing. For now, I have to wait.
The same principle applies to my life. Right now, there are some things my heart is yearning for, but the timing is not yet right. For the time being, I am called to wait, and to trust that God will be with me through every season.
While the waiting will be (very) difficult, I can still find God's beauty revealed in the midst of it.
